Brady, Brady, Brady

Yep, Brady is still climbing out of his crib. He was only climbing out after he woke up from his nap. I went in to get him yesterday and he ended up taking a nap on the floor. Silly boy! His room is not usually this messy, it's because he gets into things. The object by his head is his hamper that is all folded up and disassembled. The big white thing is the Diaper Genie that is normally standing up next to his dresser.

Slip n' Slide

A few weeks ago we bought the boys a slip n' slide. We hadn't tried it out until this week. The boys don't really do it the "right" way, but they do enjoy running on it. Every once in awhile they slip on it while running! Oh, and you can't tell from the picture but it's a Diego slip n' slide! :)

Dancing

Can you tell I finally figured out how to upload videos??? Only from my digital camera, not the video camera. My parents gave the boys a little radio for Christmas. Owen and Brady enjoy dancing to the music! My favorite part is when Brady's little feet get moving so fast! And yes, I did see the part where Owen has his hands down his pants! Boys!? It was too cute of video not to share.

Monkey Boy

So, Brady has been getting out of his crib lately and we weren't sure how he was doing it. The crib is on the lowest setting and he still manages to get out. After watching him get out, I realize we need to do something different...and quickly! Yikes!!!!

Strawberry Picking....again

My mom's group was having cooking club today and the theme was strawberries. Everyone had to prepare something that had strawberries in it. So, we went with Megan, Jack and Juliana to pick strawberries yesterday. Just like last time, Brady ate as many as he could from the plant and off the ground. GROSS!!! He was a sticky, dirty mess by the time we left.

Two Stories

We were getting out of the car at the grocery store and Owen was telling me that he was a boy and that Brady was a boy. So, I asked him what I was. He replied by saying "Owen's Mommy". :)

Let me give you a little background first. Last week the Human Society came to Eric's work with a few dogs who were up for adoption. He saw one that he thought was really cute. He texted me a picture of it. It was really cute, but I'm not up for potty training Owen, Brady and a new dog at the same time. So, last night Owen was sitting on Eric's lap and there was a dog on tv and Eric asked Owen if he wanted a dog. I'm sure he was asking Owen, so I would hear Owen say he wanted a dog. I was in the kitchen so I overheard the conversation. Owen responded by telling Eric he wanted "Clifford". :)

We had to bring in the boy's tractor to fix it. Owen kept telling Brady to "Sit here", pointing to the back of the tractor!

Diego Hats

Grandma and Grandpa Dobson sent the boys Diego hats in the mail. If you have been reading my blog, you know that Owen is obsessed with Diego. So, of course, he was thrilled to get a Diego hat in the mail. Once again the boys and I spent the morning outside playing. That's pretty much what we do every morning when we don't have errands to run!

Thank you, Mommy

I took this video yesterday using the video feature on my camera. It's really blurry. Owen kept having me say, "Ready, set, go". He would run and jump in the pool. If you can't hear it, he says ,"Thank you, mommy" while running past me! Too cute!

Tractor Ride

When Eric first got the tractor, Owen would only sit on it when it was not running. Yesterday, we talked it up about how fun it is to ride on a tractor. He finally was feeling brave and rode around the house on the tractor with Eric.

Father's Day Dinner

We had a wonderful Father's Day. In the morning, the boys played in the pool while Eric and I sat around and watched. Eric decided he wanted to go out for dinner, so we went to Taco Mac (Owen's favorite restaurant). I tried taking Owen's picture by the Taco Mac sign, but he didn't want to stand by it. Instead he went and sat on the ground and did a funny looking "senior picture" pose

And of course, Owen didn't want to be in the picture with Brady and Eric. so he was trying to wiggle away!

Pool- Take 2

Well, it was a little better today. I put the boys sunscreen on before we left, so that was all good. I brought plenty to eat and drink, so that was good as well. Now to the floating devices.....First, I tried the water wings, which was a big mistake. Then, I bought the floating things the boys are wearing in the pictures. Those are a little bit better, but not totally age appropriate. I have something I used with Owen when he was a baby. I found it in the basement, so I think I'll try that next time with Brady. Brady must have been tired because he got out of the pool and walked over to Juliana's stroller and climbed in and just sat there.

After we finished swimming we took a of cart ride to Chick-Fil-A for dinner. It was a nice ride. When I got into my car at 6:30 my car was still reading 100 degrees, and boy did it feel 100!!!! WOW,it was hot today!!!!

Froggy

We see a lot of little creatures around here. We were getting ready to go to the pool and I noticed a tiny little frog jumping around in the grass. I pointed it out to Owen and he had fun looking at it and talking to it.

He was telling the froggy (as he called it) to "Go home, froggy". I'm not sure why....

The Pool

The Nicolette's invited the boys and I to go swimming yesterday at their neighborhood pool.
I learned a few things....
1. Take my time and pay attention while putting sunscreen on the boys. Poor little Brady had big splotches on his back due to me not putting lotion on evenly.
2. Bring more than 1/2 a sleeve of Ritz crackers. Between all the kids and adults, we had the crackers gone in 2 minutes flat. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and over lunchtime. What was I thinking?
3. Don't buy water wings at the Dollar Store even if your son is in LOVE with Diego. There was a hole in one of them before Owen got into the pool.
4. Water wings are really not appropriate for toddlers who don't know how to swim. We went to Target today and bought some more age appropriate floating devices.

Thankfully, Megan and her neighbor had the ladybug floating toys that the boys could use. Thanks, girls!

All in all we had great time! The weather has been so HOT here this week and it doesn't look like it's going to cool down anytime soon! Tomorrow it's suppose to be 96 and Friday 98. Those temps don't include the humidity! WHOA!!!

"Mommy"

Owen has been talking quite a bit lately. His newest thing tonight was, at the end of everything he said he added the word mommy. So, he was done eating and he said "Done, Mommy". Then he dropped something and it was "Uh-oh Mommy". A few other things he said was "Hurry, Mommy" and "Milk, Mommy".
It was really cute!

Owen is in a wedding in September and this is the outfit he will be wearing. Everything is too big now, so hopefully he grows in the next few months.

Owen's Toddler Bed

Well, we turned Owen's crib into a toddler bed. Nap time and night time have been MUCH better! For the past 4 days we have layed Owen down in his bed for a nap, but somehow he ends up sleeping in his little rocker.

He was goofing around here. I wanted to take his picture and he didn't want me to!

Sleepy Owen

This week Owen has been climbing out of his crib while he's suppose to be napping. The other day I kept hearing him upstairs. I kept going back upstairs and putting him back in his crib and he just kept getting out. I thought maybe he was growing out of needing a nap, so I let him come downstairs with me. He had to be put in time-out and he was practically falling asleep while sitting up. I thought it was so funny. I didn't get a picture of it, but he ended up laying his head down on the table and closing his eyes. After he was done with his time-out, he went upstairs and took a 2 hour nap. Guess he's not ready to be giving up naps just yet. Whew, I'm not ready for that either!

A few days later.....
I know the picture is really dark, but couldn't use the flash because I didn't want to wake him up. He climbed out of his crib, but stayed in his room playing with some stuffed animals and looking at books. He fell askeep in his little recliner chair! So cute!

Berry Picking

Today, our playgroup went to Adam's Family Farm to pick berries. We had the option to pick strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. The boys and I only picked strawberries and blueberries. We are planning to go back next week and pick the other two kinds. We went at 9:45 and it was already so hot and humid. The farmer gave Owen a pint container to carry around and collect the berries. He never had any more than 4 in his container at a time. Both boys consumed a ton of berries while we were there. I'm pretty sure I used half a bottle of stain remover on their clothes. I'm betting the clothes they wore are ruined from all the strawberry juice! I learned my lesson...next time we'll all wear dark or old clothes! :) Strawberry or blueberry shortcake tonight! Yippee!

Randoms

I don't even remember when or where I took this picture. I just think it's cute!

We'll be pulling this one out for his graduation! So funny! He put these on while I was getting ready.

While Eric's mom was here, we went out to dinner! I wanted a nice picture of just Eric and I, bu of course Owen thought he needed to be party of the picture as well. We went to Maxwell's on 54 in Peachtree City. It was a nice restaurant with wonderful food! We'll be going back for sure!

Water Table

Grandma Dobson came to visit last week. The boys enjoyed having her around. While she was visiting she bought the boys a water table. So far, we have played with it almost every day. The boys really enjoy it!

Owen kept saying that he was drinking coffee.

Gogurt

Gogurt was on sale last week, plus I had coupons, so it made them really cheap. I thought I would give them a try, or I should say, let the boys give them a try. I thought they would make a huge mess, but they did pretty well. Owen did pretty well on his own, while Brady needed a little help. They really enjoyed!

Baseball Tee

Owen's little friend Jack has a baseball tee that he plays with all the time. We bought one for the boys last weekend while we were out thinking they might like to play with it. Eric and I set it up and tried showing them how to use it. Owen was interested in it for MAYBE 5 seconds and was on to something else. Brady enjoys taking it a part. Maybe next year! :)

Sunshine

It's been really hot here lately, so we bought the boys some a swimming pool. Owen loves the swimming pool, but Brady isn't a big fan yet! He loves taking baths, so I'm not sure why he doesn't want to get in the pool.

Watermelon

Here are a few pictures from a water playdate that we went to. The boys enjoyed eating watermelon and making a mess! :)
