Santa

I'm just now getting around to posting our Santa pictures. :( Owen was scared of Santa last year, so a few days before the party I told him Santa was going to be there. He was excited to see him and wanted to tell him what he wanted for Christmas. He arrived and both boys were excited to see him....from a distance. Owen did end up sitting on his lap, and Brady wanted nothing to do with him. From afar, Brady yelled "Hi, Santa". By the way, don't Santa and Mrs, Claus look great? It's my friend, Shannon and her husband, Rob!

Nap

I went to wake Owen up from his nap and found him sleeping behind his door on the floor. This isn't the first time he's done this. I usually get Brady up first and he has gotten in the habit of immediately looking behind the door first for Owen, instead of his bed. I'm sure his bed would be more comfortable! :)

On the same day I found Owen sleeping behind his door, I went to wake Brady up and he had taken off his pants and his socks. My goofy boys!

Coin, Coin

So, instead of Owen taking a nap, he decided to open his piggy bank and play with the money. He calls the money "coin, coin". I'm not sure where he came up with that! He picked up all the money, with a little help from Brady!

Jingle Bells

We attended the MOMS Club Christmas party on Saturday and each of the kids received a bell necklace. Owen and Brady wore theirs all weekend. Owen is learning Jingle Bells for his Christmas program at school. As you can see from the video, Brady likes to sing a long, but only knows two words to the song...Jingle Bells! We heard Jingle Bells the entire 15 minute ride home!

Sophia

Sophia is a little girl in Owen's class. She lives in Senoia as well, so we meet them at the park in the afternoon after nap. Sophia's 3rd birthday party was at one of the jumping places. As always, the kids had a blast.

We watched Sophia on Tara's birthday, so they could have a nice, kid-less dinner. The kids decorated cookies and watched Toy Story!

A Lot of Brady Lovin'

Brady has been extra lovey dovey today. Maybe he knows Christmas is coming He wants us to pick him up and give us a kiss on the lips, which isn't normal for him. He usually just kisses us on the cheeks. Anyways, here is a little video of him being goofy! I couldn't stop laughing!

Happy Thanksgiving

We were invited to a friend's house for Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful and the food and company was amazing!!! Of course, we missed being with our family for the holiday. Luckily, we'll be home for Christmas! Cathy had a place for each of us to sit, and even little tables and chairs for the kids.

Robin and Griffin are inseparable!

Cathy was very brave and gave the kids ice cream cones for dessert. It just so happens they lined up according to height.

My Little Picassos

We went to Linda's Playhouse and they painted some turkeys and ate some paint! :) This is Owen's new smile.

Christmas Card Pictures

We took the boys to Ashley Park (an outdoor shopping center) to take some pictures for a christmas card. Last year, I took close to 100 and none of them turned out, not ONE of them! This year we took about 40 and got a new one, not perfect, but better than last year!
Here are just a few cute/goofy ones we took.

Trees

Owen, once again, got a hold of my camera and took some pictures. I thought this one was actually neat.

Truffles

Yesterday, I made truffles for Thanksgiving. I put all of them in the freezer except for one, that I left out for Eric. Brady got really quiet, so I went into the kitchen. Sure enough, he had climbed up and gotten the truffle. It looks like he enjoyed it...it was all over the place!

Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

Owen's preschool hosts an annual Thanksgiving Feast for the kids each year. Starting right after Halloween, the kids started working on all the decorations and their costumes for the event. Everything was so cute. The kids made their shirts, head piece, a fruit loop necklace and their placemats. Owen's teachers had an extra chair for Brady to sit in, so he was part of the festivities. :)

The kids were served turkey, green beans, corn and a cookie. The boys ate like I hadn't fed them in days. Go figure.....

Too much turkey, time to go home!

Airplane Ride

The plane ride home was a breeze. Both boys fell asleep while we were taking off and slept the entire way until we had to get ready to land. I was even able to read two magazines!!!! We had the row to ourselves, so Owen laid down and Brady slept on me!

While we were home, Brady fell down the stairs and had a pretty big bruise. It looked much worse in person.

ROWPVT

ROWPVT is a test that is given to the students in the Davenport School District. My mom brought it home to see how Owen would do. It stands for Receptive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test. My mom gave the test one of the times we were home this summer.


I'm not sure why Owen didn't have pants on! :) He was funny, he was using the pen to point to the pictures but had it in his mouth most of the time.

Dubuque Trip

We went to Dubuque one day while we were home. We made a stop at Eric's parents house, then went to Eric's brothers house for dinner, which was lovely. :)

Reception

While we were back in Iowa, we attended Shannon and Josh's wedding reception.

Shannon's cousins had Owen join them in the fun of a train. :)

I wonder if Owen will ever like getting his picture taken!

Happy Joes

The was our first of two trips to Happy Joes while we were home. We went with Mark and Cindy, Owen and Brady's Godparents. Of course, we had taco pizza. I reallllly miss taco pizza. Happy Joes really should open one up in Atlanta. :)

The little house was really made out of pizza boxes. We let Owen and Brady go inside long enough to take a picture. It wasn't sturdy at all!

Jump 2 It

Jump 2 It is a place that we like to go to on rainy days. With Hurricane Ida, it pretty much rained 2 days straight. Our rain gage showed that it rained 5 inches in less then 48 hours. Jump 2 It is split into 2 sections. One side has the inflatable jumping toys and the other side has the Chuck E. Cheese type games and rides.
